Vedic Yogas in Your Kundli
A yoga is a specific combination of planets — by house, sign, conjunction or aspect — that classical Vedic texts treat as a unit of meaning. Two charts can hold the same nine grahas and read completely differently because of which yogas those grahas form. This page indexes the 20 major yogas we explain in depth, from Raj Yoga to the afflictions most people only discover the hard way.
How to use this index
Each yoga page covers the same ground: the exact formation rule, what the classical source actually says, the effects you can reasonably expect, the cancellations that mute it, and when it delivers — because a yoga is a promise, and the dasha timeline decides when the promise is kept. If you don't yet know which yogas your own chart holds, generate a free kundli first — our rule engine checks 42 yogas and 16 doshas deterministically, the way a pandit would check them by hand. The methodology page explains exactly how that detection works.
Check which yogas your kundli has — freeRaja Yoga
Combinations of kendra and trikona lords that classical texts associate with power, rank and public standing.
Pancha Mahapurusha Yogas
The five "great person" yogas — Hamsa, Malavya, Ruchaka, Bhadra and Sasa — formed by Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Mercury or Saturn strong in a kendra.
Dhana Yogas
Wealth combinations linking the 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th houses and their lords.
Lunar Yogas
Yogas judged from the Moon — its supporters, its neighbours, and what happens when it stands alone.
Solar Yogas
Yogas judged from the Sun and the planets flanking it.
Protective & Reversal Yogas
Combinations where debilitation or difficult lordships invert into strength.
Exchange Yogas
Parivartana — two planets in each other’s signs, binding their houses together.
Knowledge Yogas
Combinations of Jupiter, Venus and Mercury linked to learning, speech and the arts.
Purity Yogas
Benefics in the 10th from the Moon or Lagna — reputation earned cleanly.
Adverse Yogas
Not every yoga is a blessing. These are the afflictions worth checking for — and their classical cancellations.
Where to go next
Yogas are one layer of a reading, not the whole of it. The Vedic kundli service puts them in context with house placements, dignities and dashas; the Raj Yoga guide and Dhana Yoga guide go deeper on the two families people ask about most; and if your question is specific and urgent, a Prashna Kundali answers it from the moment you ask — no birth time needed.
