AI Western Astrology Readings
Your Western horoscope sign, your rising sign, your Saturn return — the astrology of Europe, the Americas and Australia is tropical, and ProxaAI gives it a specialist of its own. The chart is computed from the Swiss Ephemeris, the transits and progressions are dated to the day, and the Western astrologer AI reasons only in its own zodiac.
Quick Answer: What Does the Western Specialist Do?
When you add Western tropical astrology to your kundli, ProxaAI computes your natal chart in the tropical zodiac — Sun, Moon and rising sign, planets to Pluto, Placidus houses, aspects with orbs and aspect patterns — plus your current transits and secondary progressions, and a dedicated Western astrologer AI reads them in every question, beside the Vedic specialists but never blended with them.

Western astrology reads the tropical zodiac, anchored to the March equinox, and it reads the whole sky: the Sun for identity, the Moon for feeling, the rising sign for how you meet the world, Mercury, Venus and Mars for mind, love and drive, Jupiter and Saturn for growth and structure, and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto for the generational forces. Planets are placed in Placidus houses and connected by aspects — conjunction, opposition, trine, square, sextile, quincunx — within classical orbs. Time is read through transits (where the planets are now against your natal chart) and secondary progressions (a day for a year). The great life-cycle transits — the Saturn return near 29, the Uranus opposition near 41 — are its signature predictions.
What ProxaAI Computes
The Western specialist receives a fully computed chart, never a Sun-sign template:
- Natal positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the true North Node in the tropical zodiac, with speed, retrograde status and every traditional dignity (domicile, exaltation, detriment, fall).
- Ascendant, Midheaven and Placidus cusps for your birth place (Porphyry beyond the polar circles), the ruler of every house in its modern and traditional forms with where it sits, the chart ruler, sect, element and modality balance, and the natal lunar phase.
- Aspects with modern orbs — wider for the luminaries, tighter for the angles, small for the Node — each marked exact, applying or separating from the daily speeds, and out of sign where it is; and aspect patterns: stellium (with two personal planets — slow-planet groups are shown as generational clusters), grand trine, T-square, grand cross, yod.
- Dated transits: every Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto transit to your personal planets and angles, pass by pass (first, retrograde, final) with the window it stays within one degree, the life-cycle transits — Saturn return, square and opposition, Jupiter return, Uranus square and opposition, Neptune square, Pluto square — the same way, and the eclipses that fall on your natal points.
- Secondary progressions and solar arcs: progressed Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars, the progressed Midheaven and Ascendant, and every progressed or solar-arc contact to a natal planet within one degree with its exact date; the progressed lunar phase and sign changes.
- The year ahead: your tropical solar return (its angles and the planets on them) and your annual profection with its lord of the year.
- A Western knowledge base — planets, signs, houses, aspects, patterns, transits, progressions — from which the specialist may cite only the entries relevant to your chart.
How the Western Specialist Works
Add "Western tropical astrology" to your kundli — it is pre-selected for births in the Americas, Europe and Australia — and a sixth specialist joins every reading. It gets its own system prompt, its own zodiac and its own reference; the sidereal chart the Vedic specialists use is never shown to it, and the synthesis is instructed that a tropical sign is not a sidereal sign. Its verdict enters the same weighted consensus as the other specialists, with a weight set per question domain in code. The methodology page documents the pipeline; the free Western birth chart calculator shows you the computed chart before you sign in.
Transits, Returns and Progressions — Dated
The specialist does not say "Saturn is testing you this year"; it says on which dates Saturn is exact to your natal Sun, whether this is the first, retrograde or final pass, and how long the influence lasts for that planet. The life-cycle transits are named with their status — active, upcoming or past — and the progressed Moon's sign and house give the emotional chapter you are in. That precision is what a professional consultation costs money for, and here it is computed for every question.
Western and Vedic Together
Many people in the diaspora grew up with both a Sun sign and a Moon sign from two different zodiacs. ProxaAI is built for that: the Western astrologer and the Vedic astrologer read the same birth in their own systems, the numerologist, the Prashna and the transit specialists add theirs, and the synthesis reports where they converge. Where they disagree it says so, by the weights, instead of averaging two zodiacs into one blur.
Western Astrology — Frequently Asked Questions
- Why is my Western sign different from my Vedic sign?
- The tropical zodiac starts at the March equinox; the sidereal zodiac is measured against the fixed stars. They differ by about 24 degrees today, so many people are one sign earlier in the sidereal chart. Both are computed correctly; they are different frames.
- Is the Western specialist included in every reading?
- Only when your kundli follows "Western tropical astrology". It is pre-selected for births in the Americas, Europe and Australia and can be added or removed at any time. It adds a sixth specialist and a little to the cost of a reading.
- Which house system is used?
- Placidus, the default in Western practice, with Porphyry beyond the polar circles where Placidus is undefined. The house system is stated in the chart.
- Are Chiron and the asteroids included?
- No. The ephemeris ProxaAI ships does not carry asteroid data, and the specialist is told not to mention them rather than guess.
- Do I need a birth time?
- For the rising sign, houses and Midheaven, yes. Without it the chart still has every planet, aspect, pattern, transit and progression, and the Moon is flagged when it is near a sign boundary.
- Can I see the chart before paying?
- Yes — the free Western birth chart calculator computes the full natal chart, aspects, patterns, transits and progressions without an account.
